About Michael

Michael DeRosa formed his own real estate brokerage and auction marketing firm shortly after surviving through the bursting of an 8 trillion dollar housing bubble which led to the Great Recession and the worst financial crisis in global history. Despite the economic crisis, Michael prevailed in closing nearly 20 million dollars in real estate transactions for Sellers during the most depressed economic time periods in real estate history.

During the course of Michael’s career, he’s participated in closing extremely complex commercial busi­ness transactions and sold some of the most expensive residential properties in Upstate New York. His diverse areas of expertise include representing foreign and domestic clients in the acquisition of U.S. real estate assets and providing clientele a com­plete package of luxury estate disposition services to dispose of their real estate and fine art assets.

Michael has represented clients in many diverse industries and professions owning various types of lifestyle-focused and exotic real estate including private islands, historic castles, wine country vineyards, earth-sheltered and underground homes, equestrian facilities, dairy farms, private lakes, and timberland assets, marina, and yacht businesses, and residences in golf, ski, and lakefront communities. In addition, he’s represented residential development projects for builders and worked as a commercial site locator for investors desiring retail and destination hotel and resort development.

Since the start of his career, he has closed hundreds of real estate transactions and become an excellent mediator and negotiator; he knows exactly how to manage transaction risk for his clients to assure a successful closing. Michael’s proven track record and ability to succeed in any market condition have led him to specialize in rep­resenting unique, rare, and one-of-a-kind properties throughout Upstate New York.
