Michael McGuirk is a licensed real estate professional in both CT and NY. He spent nearly two decades in high-end sales with a multimillion-dollar hospitality group in New York City, where success meant reading the room, anticipating needs, and creating a great experience no matter what came his way. It is that same people-first mindset that guides him today giving him a unique edge when it comes to delivering results in this fast-paced and competitive housing market.
Michael first worked with real estate agents while sweeping chimneys for his father’s roofing and contracting company. His father’s strong relationships with agents taught him two key lessons: the best agents are hands-on, and they stay proactive, working closely with everyone to keep deals on track. Raised by parents from England and Ireland, it is this European upbringing that instilled in Michael the importance of character, tradition, and dependability, which the William Pitt / Sotheby's International brand holds.
After living in Manhattan for over 20 years, Michael, his wife Amanda, and their two rescues moved to Ridgefield, CT where they have fully immersed themselves in the community. He has served as both President of the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce and The Ridgefield Lions Club and is an emcee for charity galas and fundraisers in the area.
A veteran of the entertainment business, Michael has been on the small screen, the big screen, has been seen and heard in over 50 commercials, and is an award-winning playwright. A trained singer, he has performed all over the country and still can be heard in the shower belting out any Sinatra hit that is going on in his head. In his downtime, Michael loves talking sports, playing golf, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, tackling his next DIY project, and convincing himself that he knows how to take care of his lawn & garden.
