Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Michael Murphree has lived all over the United States, from San Francisco to New York City and places in between. In his first career as a commercial photographer, he traveled the world and experienced diverse cultures and landscapes, but nothing ever compared to his home in Northern California. He’s always been pulled back to the Bay Area, home to foggy coastlines and the 49’ers.
Here in the portal to Sonoma County, Petaluma is an ideal base for excursions to the wine country, the dramatic Sonoma coast, and the ancient and majestic redwood groves.
