A proud, life-long resident and volunteer in Jacksonville, Michael is a past President of the Jacksonville Kiwanis Club, a past Advisory Board Member of the Salvation Army, a past board member of the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce, and was a rescue diver for the Morgan County Underwater Search and Rescue Dive Team. As a realtor, Michael is a Past President of the Illinois Association of Realtors, a past President of the Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation, and a 2-time President of the Jacksonville Area Association of Realtors.

Michael currently serves on the Illinois Realtors Board of Directors. He serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Realtors and has chaired the Broker Involvement Council and the Risk Management Issues Committee. For the State of Illinois, he currently serves on the Illinois Real Estate Administration and Disciplinary Board.
