Miguel Contreras was born and raised in San Diego, and though he once considered leaving, he was drawn back by the city’s people and culture. It was in this community that he learned the power of connections. Connecting people to places, ideas, and opportunities and helping them fulfill their financial goals are the driving forces that compelled him to found Reign West Collective.
Miguel has a strong desire to help people find freedom and independence. After witnessing firsthand the life-changing power of real estate investment, he realized that he could achieve this goal by helping people create wealth through real estate. Since he started in the industry in 2004, Miguel has been helping buyers find their dream home and sellers take the next step on their real estate journey. Miguel also works with people with niche needs, such as probate and trust sales, fix-and-flip opportunities, buy-and-hold investments, and residential and multifamily income properties.
In addition to his certificate in real estate development and finance from the University of San Diego, Miguel has a degree in social sciences from San Diego State University. Before committing to real estate, he worked with national-level accounts and sales, and this experience helped him understand the analytics behind real estate sales. Working and thriving during the Great Recession also gave him a broader view of real estate deals and investments. Miguel uses this expertise to give clients the proper context to make the right decision for them, whether they’re buying or selling a family home or investing in a multifamily property.
Miguel wants to leave a legacy in the San Diego real estate market. That’s why he spends time coaching other agents to be strong communicators and negotiators who contribute to building a stronger San Diego community. Despite his loyalty to his clients, Miguel ensures he always has time to spend with his wife and three children. He also hikes, sails, and kayaks in the San Diego area, trains in Brazilian jiujitsu, and leads marriage enrichment programs and men’s growth groups.
