Mikal is an outstanding real estate agent! He helped us look for a new home in Pittsburgh. In the end our plans changed; the move took us to Connecticut. He connected us to an excellent local Sotheby's realtor. Mikal successfully sold our beautiful home in Fox Chapel. He helped us prepare our property; with select renovations and overall guidance. The staging of our home was great, the customized marketing materials were wonderful. Mikal is a thoughtful and smart realtor and we would not hesitate in recommending him if outstanding service and attention to details are required!

Mikal is fantastic! We worked with him for nearly a year to buy a house in Shadyside. He did a great job for us: Always available for viewings (weekends, at short notice, pre-work mornings, you name it), knowledgable of the Pittsburgh neighborhoods, good eye for potential issues in homes, well connected with reliable contractors, banks, insurance companies and other suppliers that you will need in the process of buying a home. And most importantly extremely nice to work with. I also liked the comfort and peace of mind of working with a globally known realtor brand.

Mikal was very knowledgeable and is clearly passionate about what he does. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, helpful and honest real estate broker, Mikal Merlina is the one for you. We were selling an old Victorian on a busy road and Mikal used conventional marketing and then went beyond and found "out of the box" ways of advertising and addressing any concerns that potential buyers had. He always responded promptly to any of our questions and has knowledge at his fingertips. The buyers weren't necessarily cooperative but he handled them professionally and patiently. And he did all this and sold the house above asking price within six months of hiring him!
He also helped us find the house that met all our needs (and that we love) after looking at many and guided us through that process seamlessly.
There is no way we recommend him any way but positively in every aspect of of selling and buying a home. Be smart and contact him!

Previous attempts to sell our property were quite unsuccessful, we even had a few realitors that told us that they were not interested in listing the property. Not only did Mikal take up the challenge but he sold it for more than we could have expected! He's honorable, knowledgeable and driven. He is always available and insiteful. If you are considering a listing with him, do it. If we ever need a realitors again I will call him, no question

Mikal went above and beyond and pulled out all the stops to help us make the most attractive offer on the best home in our price range. He was honest and direct and never steered us wrong. He always made himself available if we had questions or concerns, he gave us good advice, and he wanted to make sure we made a decision we were comfortable with, no matter how long it took. He had our best interests in mind and told us exactly what to expect at every stage of the process, which went smoothly from start to finish. Buying a home is a big investment, so it was reassuring to work with someone with so much industry knowledge who really understands the market.

Mikal made the home buying process much easier. We purchased a home with him at the beginning of COVID19. Mikal made the process as painless as possible during a confusing time for real estate in general. He was always incredibly responsive and addressed all of our concerns. He was honest with houses that we wouldn't have liked.

He was especially helpful after our offer was accepted. Navigating closing was challenging, but he helped us through all the necessary deadlines and liased with the third-parties (mortagage company, seller's agent, etc) when appropriate to ensure our close was on-time. If I need real estate services again, he will be my first call.
