Mike was a fantastic realtor for us. We shopped for our house for over a year and had multiple homes fall through during our buying process. We were often worried that we were testing his patience, but never saw any indication of it as he always seemed eager to help in any way he could.

He always advised us well, even when it aligned with our interest, but not his own (such as warning us about certain aspects which led to us to walk away from homes).

In an industry where trustworthiness can feel like a rare commodity, we always felt like Mike was more interested in finding us a home that we loved and would be a good investment, rather than just trying to close the deal.

In short, my wife and I highly recommend Mike if you are buying or selling a home in NC.

I would recommend Mike to everyone. He is a realtor that truly cares and isn’t in it just for the commission. We were referred to Mike by our realtor in the Raleigh area when we were looking for property in the NC mountains. We found Mike's knowledge of the local market and his own personal experience with vacation rentals to be very helpful. In addition, Mike was very responsive to our phone calls and texts, even when we had to bother him on vacation. He did leg work for us without being asked to - going to see two different properties by himself in advance of our visits. Mike quickly answered all of our questions and concerns and made our buying experience as easy and stress-free as possible.

My wife and I used Mike to sell our house and locate/buy a new house. Throughout the whole process we never once second guessed that decision. Mike is a fantastic realtor and a fantastic person. He cares about not only you, but everyone involved in the process. He is honest, moral, and looks out for your best interests from start to finish (and even now Lol). Mike was nothing short of amazing when my parents decided to purchase a winter home here in North Carolina from the comfort of their home in New York. They wanted to be located close to us, which was a tall order not knowing the neighborhoods. His attention to detail and quick responses allowed them to put an offer on a house they loved, in the perfect location in just a few days while they were here for a quick visit. The man works hard, is detailed orientated and I feel he goes above and beyond his duties of an agent. Countless times I have asked him for some information, and told him there was no rush just get to it later on when you have a few minutes, and next thing I know I have the information in my inbox. Mike Roberts helped me through the entire process of buying my home in North Carolina. I had a great experience working with Mike, who was always responsive and available to answer questions during the day, in the evening and on weekends. Mike would arrange his schedule to show me homes when I requested to see them. On a Saturday and upon showing me a home that I wanted to put a contract on, Mike had the contract ready to sign within 2 hours. Mike also has extensive knowledge on the homes structure, building products and appliances. I totally trust Mike and he is truly a professional. Mike Roberts is highly recommended!

Mike was our agent when we successfully purchased our perfect forever home, so for this reason this review is biased. At closing we would learn that on the second day our home had been on the market it was shown to 6 potential buyers including us. With Mike’s knowledge and familiarity of the Lake Norman area and understanding of market conditions he expertly guided our decision making throughout the purchase process. We were quickly under contract at our initial offer which was competitive yet gave us a strong sense of value. Buying a home is a complicated process with lots of steps many of which have legal implications. Mike is expertly knowledgeable from beginning to end. He manages each part of the process ensuring all parties are effectively communicating and are timely with their deliverables. We closed on time in no small part because of Mike’s tireless management. When you believe you have found your dream home the days and minutes until you close you second guess that something will go wrong and it will fall short of reality. And then the day comes, the papers are signed, and you bring your 5 year old to his new home he has been waiting to see for “500 years” for the first time. He dashes out of the car running with a pure excitement only a child has: We are Home. And for this moment, we are so grateful for Mike. Like I said, this review is biased. We chose Mike Roberts Homes because of the 5 star reviews, and we believe they were truly earned. Thank you Mike.

My husband and I sold our home with Mike Roberts last fall and could not be happier with how our sell ended up. This was the first time either of us had sold a home so we while we were both clueless, Mike was extremely helpful with walking us through each step. We contacted realtors for help selling our building lot. Mike Roberts was the only realtor that walked the lot and made recommendation to us, so we contracted with him. We got monthly reports from Mike, but there were no sales taking place at the many lots in the area. He put out drone footage of the lot, and he would periodically have us lower our asking price a little so the lot would “show up” well on the lists. We got a contingent price offer, but the people did not end up selling their home. Finally, he got a full price contingent offer and he told us that he thought those people would have no trouble selling their home. He was right. He worked hard selling our lot just as if it was a very expensive home and it paid off. Thank You Mike.

Mike Roberts helped me find and buy the cutest mountain cottage! He communicated very well and always helped answer any questions I had. He was on top of all the steps along the way from the inspection to the attorney documents, he followed up with everyone to make sure we closed on time. Buying a property out of town can be challenging but with his great communication and electronic docusign capability everything went so smoothly!
