Al and Milaina helped us buy our first home, and we had a great experience with them. We met with them to explain what we wanted and they gave us an overview of the whole process, as well as some recommendations on how to get ready, both mentally and economically.

We found a house we liked but had an odd timing situation, and they prepared an offer that adapted the purchase agreement to it. They were even able to negotiate a deal that landed us some additional money for renovations as well as some items that would stay in the house.

They were patient and understanding with our first-time homebuyer jitters, answering any questions and showing us around multiple times. Al even helped us test if a car we wanted would fit in the garage!

They are also well connected and can recommend people for everything - lenders, inspectors and contractors for renovation work, making everything easier for us.

For their constant attention, personal touch and great skills, we can't recommend them enough.

It was great working with Alexis. First, she helped us find a rental house when we first moved to Seattle. After a year renting and when we were ready to purchase our own, she helped us look for and find the right house. Alexis is very patient. We looked at tens of houses from as far between as West Seattle to Lynwood and Shoreline. She never complained even once that we were looking at too many houses and understood that we were working a delicate balance between cost, location and neighborhood. We finally got a house. Form our first meeting, it was clear that this day was organized, thorough, connected with all the right people, which opened up our buying opportunities big time. We ended up using our buying power, with Melaina’s guidance, to buy a bigger home than we expected, checking ALL of our boxes, but needed some work. Wanting to move from Lopez island was daunting. I went house hunting on the mainland. That's when I first met Milaina West, while closing an open house for the day. It was at least 10-15 past the open house hours. I happened to get there before they drove away. I was very impressed that Milaina walked me through the house after hours! Although, the house was not for me, I was impressed with her knowledge of both selling and buying homes. I had to help a family member for 2 months but Milaina took the time to come to my home on Lopez Island to give it a once over and suggestions of what it would take to sell that home. The repairs, renovation costs, inspections etc. Even though I had not signed with a realtor yet, I knew that I wanted Milaina to represent my home. I also wanted and needed her expertise and advise on buying a new home. After 25 years of island living, I was naive and uneducated about the market.

Coordination of all of this was confusing for me and of course stressful. When I returned and signed on with Milaina West group they gave 110% towards the repair/renovation of the sale of the Lopez home. The group sent out a team and took about 5 days to prepare my home for sale. Working tirelessly over 10 hour days. I worked diligently on packing, selling, giving away stuff. All said and done my home had a full price offer within 6 days of listing!!! That was remarkable as homes typically can take months to a year on the island to sell.

Now to find a new home. I went out with Milaina 2 or 3 times when I found the perfect place for me. Every time Milaina encouraged me that I would find the perfect place. Her support kept me hopeful. I love my new home and am in contact with the Milaina West group regularly. They help with finding contractors, services, and offer their much needed support! I was a very nervous Nelly through the entire process. Milaina West group calmed me and helped me maintain a positive thought process with a positive outcome. Milaina even went the extra mile and helped load her vehicle with the final load from lopez island. Not many people would do that extra.
Without their guidance, support, and help I may have given up. All in all from beginning to end the process only took 8 weeks from start to finish! I am now the happy owner of a smaller, one level, home with everything I need. A great neighborhood and wonderful views. All due to the energetic, positive, diligent work on behalf of the Milaina West group. The entire staff, especially Alexis, was very supportive and offered wonderful advice. Kept me on the right track throughout the process. I owe them a world of gratitude!

It was an absolute joy getting to work with Milaina. At first I didn’t know the best way to get in touch with realtors, and I just so happened to get matched with Milaina when touring a condo on Zillow. Looking back, I’m so glad that happened because Milaina has taught me so much about home buying and I don’t think I’d be in my current house without her.

As a first time home buyer, I came into the home buying process with a lot of misconceptions, and Milaina was extremely patient and willing to sit down with me and talk through the whole process. From her, I learned that I don’t need 20% to buy a house, that there are various ways to structure closing costs in order to make monthly mortgage payments affordable, and that there are opportunities to use a first home as an investment property in the future. Knowing these points allowed me to expand my search and ultimately allowed me to get the house I’m in today.

Furthermore, Milaina made herself readily available throughout the process in order to answer questions and to offer home tours. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to tour homes with Milaina and she always did a great job of highlighting features about the house while also calling out aspects to be cautious about.

When it came time for closing, Milaina did an incredible job negotiating to get seller paid closing costs for me to buy down my rate. Honestly, the entire closing process was a breeze and Milaina made sure to take care of everything to make the process as painless as possible.

Overall I absolutely recommend Milaina. She will meet you where you are in terms of being a first time or experienced buyer, and she will always fight to get you the right deal on a house. I can’t thank Milaina enough and will be recommending her to friends and family.

I met Milaina when I was looking at a house I actually fell in love with. I was there just checking the house by myself. She very quickly noticed that I was interested and offered to help me for 30 minutes for nothing in return. This was my very first home purchase and I honestly did not know much about the process. I felt super comfortable talking to her. She was professional and responsive to my comments and questions. This house happened to be on demand and we had to place a bid within 24h. Milaina was amazing and walked me through all the steps. I am abit detail oriented so I ended up asking many questions and she patiently addressed them. We placed a bid and even though it did not work out for that particular house I decided to stick with Milaina as I was already interested in another property as well. She put together a great contract for me and worked very well with my lender. After pre-qualifying for a home loan we needed to find a realtor. Milaina was the first person we contacted. Milaina and my mom have been email buddies for at least 3 years. She would diligently send posts of homes that she thought we may be interested in. But we just weren’t ready then. Fast forward to July 2020… my wife and I decide we’re finally ready to become homeowners.

From the very 1st phone call Milaina hit all the right buttons. Her confidence and knowledge in her field made us feel comfortable and assured that she knew her business. Then we met her in person at the first house we toured, we knew then that we had picked the perfect real estate agent to guide us in our new venture to find our first home.

Milaina picked up our vibes quickly and knew immediately what we liked and disliked, and what we actually needed. We had no experience. NONE! Milaina was so patient with us and mindful of what we were looking for. She always answered questions right away and made us feel like we were top priority. She’s a great problem solver, especially when we were challenged with obstacles (and there were many) she always stayed positive and attentive.

Milaina has a great personality, she’s got true compassion for her clients, and she’s an excellent real estate agent.

After a month and a half of searching, we finally found the perfect home that we absolutely Love. Milaina met us one final time to welcome us into our home. That day we got our keys…the smiles on the faces of my wife and my 3 daughters were priceless to me and I have Milaina to thank for that precious memory.

Started looking for buying a home just by myself and it was time consuming, inefficient, and distracting. I was introduced to Miaina. Trust builds over time and I am writing this review after completing the purchase of a home which Milaina helped us find out within the budget. Looking for a property is not easy. Market is competitive and what you like will be gone before you can put an offer. A lot of fine research goes in each property, and doing so in limited time comes from experience. Milaina has all this experience. For each property I liked at first sight, Milaina did all the research, and had the answers to all our questions. After we put an offer, it was accepted by the seller, and during the inspection time Milaina personally supervised the home inspection, price negotiation, and estimate of possible expenses for any preventive maintenance. I liked the transparency in work, frequent communication, itemized estimates of maintenance, and contacts of home maintenance services for future reference who can do the quality work in budget. I was also introduced to an excellent loan officer which is hard to identify yourself. I realize the value of all the help and the references only after completing the home purchase. If I can buy another property in the future, I trust Milaina to be my agent.

Milaina has been awesome!
As a first time homebuyer, I wasn't sure what to expect, but Milaina was so helpful with providing information, education and fighting to get us a better deal with any opportunities she was given. She's been quick to answer any call and finds answers almost immediately if she doesn't have the info at hand.
Gotta say, I was impressed, and am very grateful we had someone as excited as us to home shop with and who provided great, personal advice along the way.

Milaina was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and patient working with us to find a home to rent as we were coming from out of state. She was extremely knowledgeable about the areas, school districts, commute times into Seattle, pros and cons of properties and let us know what to watch out for. She helped negotiate on our behalf with the landlord of the house we are now renting and we got a great deal. Looking forward to working with her again when we buy a house. Highly recommended!
