Missy Walden was my agent and she helped me sell my home. She also helped me relocate to another home. My home was purchased in 2003 by myself and my husband. 2011 we were divorced and I was retired as I fought to keep my home with a first and a second mortage and was unable to refinance do to the home being upside down. As I struggled to pay the mortage monthly I met Missy Walden and I decided to do a short sale. She worked with me very closely and the mortage company as well as her team. She was determined to find a buyer for my home. Closing date on previous home was on June 25, 2015. The team was supportive even on the day of the closing. During my relocation from Japan to the Virginia, I had an extremely restricted schedule. I addressed the importance of flexibility and responsiveness to Missy during our first conversation, was assured her and her team could met my needs, and they most defiantly did. I arrived in VA with only four days to find the house for my family of five. Missy worked diligently with me, showing me all the houses I wished to see from on-line searches and when none of our favorites met our wants she was ready with a number of additional houses to show. She showed me at least 25 houses in a three day period, always making the most of our time. On the fourth day she took me back through the top two and talked me through the pros and cons of each; helping make the perfect decision for me and my family. After we put the offer in and I returned to Japan, her and her team kept in close contact with me throughout the process. Making sure I knew the status of inspections, repairs, and all financials involved. We arrived in VA the night of the 22nd, signed for, and were in our new home on the 23rd. All after spending only four days in the state prior to. We could not have done it without Missy and her team. If you are looking for an agent in VA, look no further. I can assure you that Missy and her team are professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. 04/10/2015 Helped me sell a home Professional, responsive and savvy, but simultaneously warm and passionate. She takes the time to genuinely understand both her clients' needs and the property she is representing. Within one week of hiring Missy, we already felt very comfortable in the relationship, and very positive about the potential outcome. Her commitment and investment in the success of selling our home went way beyond anything we had ever experienced with another realtor. We call her the house whisperer. She got to know our home, and she personally spent several hours staging it in a way that made every room come alive to the potential buyer we were trying to reach. The house went on the market on Thursday and was immediately getting heavy traffic on all the websites. There was a heavy snow that first weekend, but we still had people come see the home, and by Tuesday we had two competing offers for full asking price (a price which was higher than some other realtors had advised us was possible). We ended up signing a contract for more than we were asking, but Missy's service didn't end there. She is connected to a marvelous network that facilitated every aspect of closing, including the best settlement agent we have ever worked with. We were out of the country on a previously booked vacation for most of the time between contract and closing, but we never felt stressed about Missy following through on all the little details. If you need to sell your home, HIRE MISSY!!!
