I just closed on a great home in Las Cruces with the help of Monica Escamilla. I lived in Oregon and have been wanting to relocate to NM for some time. I had made three trips to Las Cruces and Monica was able to work her schedule to accommodate my trips there. Monica is very responsive and seems to be always available! Once I found the home I wanted, she helped me negotiate a great offer. She also has a ton of experience in Las Cruces, and is very well connected to local services, like lenders, inspectors, and contractors. I cannot say enough good things about Monica Escamilla! She helped us find our first house about 10 years ago. Since then, the military has taken us many places and I recently decided it was time to sell it. I immediately contacted Monica for that, and within 24 hours of listing our home, we had 3 offers. I am stationed overseas, and Monica made this feel like the easiest process ever! We closed on our house a couple days ago! When I decided to sell my home, I started to search for a Realtor to help me with the process. As a retired military member I was eligible for a program that USAA offers in which they refer Realtors to help members sell our homes. I was referred to Monica Escamilla, and after a brief meeting right away started the process of putting the home on the market for sale. I believe she was very helpful in helping me sell my property, thanks to her experience and knowledge we were able to close the sale. There were some obstacles that I thought were going to delay the process of selling the house, but thanks to Monica and her perseverance my property sold within the time frame that we had agreed, thank you Monica Escamilla for helping me make the sale.

My brother had used Monica to sell his rental house in Las Cruces, New Mexico, a year ago, so he had recommended Monica to me and I am extremely thankful that he did. Monica is a real go-getter. She is very professional and very personable.
I had to sell 3 rental houses located in Las Cruces, New Mexico, that were a part of an estate. This was very challenging as I live in another state, in a different time zone, and have never visited New Mexico.
Monica handled everything for me. Once the tenants had moved out, she scheduled the cleaning, lawn care maintenance, painting, and various other needed repairs in order for the houses to be put on the market.
She consistently kept me informed through the entire process. Her expertise and advice helped me tremendously in the decision making. She was also instrumental in making sure that the houses closed on schedule.
I'm happy to say that Monica turned my challenge into a huge success. We managed to sell all 3 houses in 5 months from the start to the final closing. (Actually it would have been 4 months, but the last buyer had requested an additional month out to close.)

I began my home search process extremely distrustful of realtors and the home buying process in general. Monica was referred to me by a coworker because she was low pressure and straight forward when he worked with her. In the beginning I thought it was going to just be a simple business arrangement but she went beyond that. She helped my find the best mortgage rate and closing cost in town, inspector, and defended me in the buying process when she didn’t have to. The seller was not the most agreeable person in the world but Monica stuck with it and got me the house I wanted.

Through the whole process I felt like Monica was on my side. Not just as a realtor but as a friend, and that is important to me as a first time buyer. Even after the deal has closed Monica has helped me out. I consider her a friend and recommend her to anyone.

Monica is a true realtor GEM! I have worked with her twice both as buyer and seller.

As a buyer, she finds top notched homes to peruse. What I like the best is she points out quality assets in the home, but then steps away and gives the buyer time to truly look.

As a seller, she does her homework! Finds best market value, evaluates home to be put on the market and tells you pros and cons. (Best to fix the cons!) She is a mover and a shaker. Follow her advice and you will have a quick and profitable sell.

I never write reviews, never. But seeing how the way I found Monica was by reading reviews and more importantly how AMAZING she is, I am writing a review of her. I was nervous to say the least about selling my house because after years of renters not being so nice to me or the house, it wasn’t in the best shape and I didn’t have the money to spend fixing it up. Plus I knew that the neighborhood/area wasn’t the greatest and that would bring the price down. I initially made appointments with 3 realtors, only met with two and after the initial meet they each gave me their opinion on what I could get. Monica from the very beginning was down to earth and straight up. She didn’t sugar coat anything which is a quality I was specifically looking for. In that first meet, she even went out of her way to help me call a locksmith when I discovered my last renters had changed the locks before they dipped out and disappeared. At the end of our meet she had a estimate ready for me and had listened and answered all my questions. The other agent took a few days to get me his estimate and it was so low I gasped and even though my gut had already told me to pick Monica, that was the kicker. I am SO grateful I had Monica as my agent. She went beyond the necessary by leaps and bounds and I can’t say enough great things about her. She was patient and understanding and never once seemed irritated when I forgot to do things (which happens often). She did everything she could and worked so hard and she had my house sold within 3 months! At the end I actually felt sad that I wasn’t going to have regular chats with her because she had become someone who was like family and who was my rock thru this process. If I ever need to sell or buy a home in Las Cruces ever again she will be the ONLY person I call. And every chance I get to refer her to someone who needs an agent I will give them her number because I can wholeheartedly say they will not be disappointed. She is the BEST!

Monica was an excellent real estate agent for me. I needed to sell my house in Las Cruces. It was being rented on a month-to-month basis. She recommended that I put it on the market for March 1, 2018. I advised the tenants that I was going to sell the house 6 weeks prior. Today, the sale of the house was completed so the complete sale of the house was completed in less than two months. I could not be happier about how well she handled the sale of my house. Monica is amazing! I owned a house that I had been renting out through a property management company since I moved away from Las Cruces in 2009. I did not realize what a poor job my property managers were doing until I came to town for one day to meet Monica and walk the house. My house was a complete mess. Monica saw my shock and immediately got moving. She called a contractor to come and provide an estimate, gave me the name and contact of a carpet company, and helped me prioritize the issues. By the time I left for home the next day, I had the utmost confidence in Monica.
