About Nancy

The Strong Oestreich Elwell Team (SOE Team) was formed in 2015 by Nancy Strong and Stacey Oestreich and expanded to include Scott Elwell in 2020. The three now lead a team including Jeffrey Hoffmann, Jennifer Ho, Jessica Knopf, Sarah Stone, Kat Tambour and administrative manager, Chris van Schaften, with a combined 100+ years of experience. The team works in New York and Connecticut and specializes in the New York City suburbs. We use our past corporate experiences in finance, sales, marketing and design to give our team an edge in negotiations, property visibility and preparing properties for sale. Our complementary backgrounds help our team look at situations from different angles and find the best ways to attain the desired results for our clients. Our tenacious work ethic enables us to provide stellar service to our clients in order to help them realize their real estate goals.


We remain at the top of our game by actively networking with top agents in different markets from our offices around the country and around the globe to promote our listings, gather new ideas and keep up with trends. We are regular faces in the New York City offices; we sponsor community events and host get-togethers at our listings for agents and prospective buyers. Our luxury listings are also featured on our international partner Knight Frank’s websites. Agents know that when they call our team to refer buyers or sellers, we will handle them with the same professionalism that they do. Our referral network has helped us relocate clients from Douglas Elliman’s markets in California, Florida, Houston, Aspen and Boston as well as other parts of the US, Asia and Europe.


The SOE Team has won Douglas Elliman’s Platinum Award each year from 2016 through 2019 and was recently named as one of 2020 REAL Trends + Tom Ferry America’s Best Real Estate Professionals.


Why are we always one of Douglas Elliman’s top two teams in Westchester? We are relentless! Average agents do only a few deals each year and don’t have the business acumen to resolve issues that come up in a transaction. In 2019, SOE Team was Douglas Elliman’s number two team in transactions and gross sales volume in Westchester County. We listen to our clients and aim to develop relationships for life not just for one transaction. Our buyers get advice on the pros and cons of the properties in which they are interested as we help them narrow down their search. When clients are ready to sell they can expect guidance at every step of the way --from preparing the property for sale to the closing table.


Outside of New York and Connecticut, members of our team have lived in California, Rhode Island, Texas, Wisconsin, London, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the Philippines. We stay active by playing golf and tennis, hiking, running and competitive sailing. Travel is a favorite pastime for our agents, especially because it enables them to understand a wide variety of lifestyles and cultures.
