About Nika

After years of traveling across the country as my husband advanced his career as a country club chef, we chose to put down roots in the beautiful foothills of Western North Carolina in 1996. It remains one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Hickory has offered us the perfect balance of moderate seasons, welcoming neighbors, and a true sense of community—something we didn’t find as easily during our time in Texas and Minnesota.
