From 2020 to 2024, she served as a Commissioner on the Torrance Social Services Commission, and since 2014, she has volunteered as a Literacy Tutor with the Los Angeles Public Library. She also supports local literacy efforts as a Board Member of the Friends of San Pedro Library.

With nearly two decades of industry experience, Novelette is known for her sharp negotiation skills, magnetic client relationships, and strategic marketing expertise. Originally from Jamaica, West Indies, she now thrives in San Pedro with her husband, Michael, and their fearless Miniature Pinschers, Luigi and Trevor—affectionately known as “the Boys.”
