About Paige
I advise clients on one of their largest investments because of the experiences I had as both a first-time home buyer and seller, and the unique background I have with real estate that enables me to help all levels of clients. My goal is to make every transaction as seamless and stress-free as possible while educating my clients about the process and ensuring everything is on track throughout.
My background as a newspaper copy editor ensures the contracts are going to be handled at the highest level and communication is going to be clear.
I don’t ask probing questions that are inappropriate or unrelated to our goal – I never want to make someone uncomfortable the way I was treated as a gay buyer – and I would never ask a client to write their own property description. Yet those things happened then and continue, despite fair housing laws.
I began house hunting at age 10 nearly every weekend because my mother didn’t get to pick out the house I grew up in – she was too pregnant with me to travel, so dad did the shopping in a town and state they had never visited. On my 16th birthday we moved into the house I found in a newspaper listing. After a few months living there, we realized it was a DIY surplus special, something a Realtor and inspector would have told my parents had they hired them.
I built my first house and had the luxury of visiting the site nearly every day to learn the process and watch the progression. The foreman took me and my partner under his wing and we got a full education. By my third house I had become a rabid DIYer, perhaps because I was dad’s project assistant and flashlight holder as a child. Unwittingly, I have started each new project at the most challenging level: Tile fireplace surround, I picked 1 inch glass squares. Diagonal wall and floor tile, no problem! Hardwood flooring, why not use warped reclaimed wood to match the family room? Designing a kitchen from a huge set of custom solid cherry cabinets obtained for $350 from Craigslist, easy-peasy.
So when I found myself needing a new career in a city where I had had no connections for more than 19 years, I decided real estate would be easier than going back to school at age 46. Seventy-two hours of coursework, a state exam and fingerprinting later, I was a licensed Realtor in Missouri – with no prospects or clue what I was doing.
Twelve years later, I have successfully guided numerous individuals and families through the buying, selling, and investing processes. I am dedicated to delivering exceptional results while providing personalized service tailored to each client's unique needs. I approach each transaction as if it’s my own – not just because I have a legal and ethical obligation to act in my clients’ best interests – but because everyone deserves to manage their biggest investment fueled with all the knowledge and understanding of the decisions they are making with the least amount of stress and pressure possible.
My goal is to leave each and every client with great memories of the process and the satisfaction that they got the best outcome possible, regardless of their price point. Hopefully if I’ve demonstrated my value and infused some fun along the way, they and their tribe will be friends and clients for life.
