Parisa Samimi

The experience of starting a new life in a foreign country taught Parisa about the importance of strong family and community ties. As an immigrant, she learned that having a place to call home allows one to truly thrive. Parisa has a deep commitment to excellence and a strong work ethic which are apparent in her success. Parisa’s family emigrated to the U.S. from Iran in 1984 seeking a better life and opportunities for their young children. Parisa quickly fell in love with the Bay Area, where she chose to raise her own family. She attended Albany High School, then San Jose State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business before going on to complete coursework in Interior Architecture at UC Berkeley Extension. Both of Parisa’s daughters attended Berkeley schools; one recently graduated from UC Berkeley and the other is currently attending the University of Southern California.

As a mother, Parisa leads by example, teaching her daughters that honesty and integrity are non-negotiable components of any career path they choose. Parisa is an active member of her community and a devoted supporter of organizations that support education for all, human empowerment, and create safe environments for children and animals.
