Though she spent most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida, Pat Hawkins spent the first eight years right across the Blue Ridge Parkway in Waynesville. It never got out of her blood and many of her family vacations were spent at Lake Junaluska. Simply put, Pat loves the mountains. She purchased a vacation home in the Lake Toxaway area and spent her summers and every opportunity there while teaching in the Jacksonville area. In 2004, she returned full time to the area and began working in real estate shortly thereafter.
Pat moved to Brevard in 2016 and loves the vibrancy of this precious town. Her personal passion used to be running but is now hiking. There is almost no real or imagined illness that a hike in these mountains (or elsewhere, for that matter) will not cure. In 2011, she scratched off a bucket list item by hiking the 500-mile trek across Spain, the Camino de Santiago. Since then, she has hiked in Scotland and Wales but commented while on those hikes that at home the hiking is just as wonderful.
While hiking is her personal passion, her real estate passion is working with buyers. Pat loves all aspects of it. Meeting people, looking at homes, and, most of all, helping someone find just the right home. Pat would love to work with you to fulfill that passion and help you find your dream home.
