I can't say enough about Rachael. She is the best real-estate agent that we've ever worked with. We first met Rachael in 2009 when we were looking to by a cabin. Every month Rachael would send me listing and finally in January 2020 we found the perfect cabin for us and we bought it. She is very honest and transparent. She was with us through the whole buying process. She made us feel like we were getting the family treatment. We consider a friend and our fist choice when we have a real estate question. We'll definitely go back to her when we're ready to upgrade.

Working with Rachael Smith was wonderful. We had two rentals in Big Bear that we have wanted to sell for years but have hesitated because of our long-term tenants. I had a great conversation with Rachael a couple of years ago, but we decided to wait on selling. With the market in Big Bear so hot, we decided to call Rachael again because we had such a good feeling about her the first time we talked. When she said we could market the rentals with an agreement to allow our tenants to stay, we decided now was the time to get them sold. She suggested reasonable asking prices to start with, and when we called our tenants, both of them actually wanted to buy the places themselves. Rachael worked very well with both sides.
Rachael had great advice all the way through the process. She worked with the tenants and facilitated everything beautifully. On our end, we were able to do everything online, which was great because we live down the hill. She updated us frequently and kept us informed of all timelines, and in less than two months from our first call to Rachael, escrow had closed on both places. We never dreamed everything would go so smoothly, and we know this happened because of Rachael’s knowledge and expertise as a realtor. In addition, she is just a great person! Whenever we had questions whether by email or phone, she got back to us immediately, and it was always such a pleasure talking with her on the phone. I felt like we were working with a friend, even though we’ve never actually met in person. (We hope to meet her on our next trip up to Big Bear.) We highly recommend Rachael to anyone looking for a great realtor in the Big Bear area.

I can't say enough about Rachael. We just closed a vacation home in Big Bear, which was actually our first property purchase, and Rachael was a wonderful guide, collaborator, and repository of knowledge throughout the process. Big Bear is COMPETITIVE and the market is hot right now. Rachael was realistic. She listened to our needs and then immediately jumped into action, coordinating on-market offers but also finding off-market opportunities to fit our budget -- all while warning us away from properties that *seemed* like they might work for us but that in hindsight would have been nightmares. She hustled every step of the way, was completely responsive, and most important we always felt like we were getting the benefit of her deep knowledge of the market and the area without any trace of icky salesmanship. She's just good people who's PHENOMENAL at what she does, which is absolutely the word on the street and how we came to find her. Working with Rachael has been amazing! She has gone above and beyond what would be considered normal part of a real estate agent. I received information from her in the mail stating that she could sell our house within a particular range and that she did! She gave great advice on how to stage or home and worked with us with regards to showing our home when we had people staying in our house. Whenever I had issues or concerns about our property should would have people there checking it out for us. We had a very frustrating close and she was my advocate following up with the escrow company and pushing them to get their tasks done. I never post reviews. Unless my services are terrible or, over the top good I see no sense in posting. Rachael Smith’s services were way above and, beyond the call of normal duty. I have no choice but to write this glowing review.

In the beginning of winter I decided to research purchasing a vacation home in Big Bear. I had no experience in the area. I was so gun shy that I came up on 6 different occasions and, made 5 different offers. Finally, after months of patience Rachael found a gorgeous home far below market value for me. We placed an offer within hours of it hitting the MLS and, it was immediately accepted.

During Escrow I came up for the home inspection and, went for a half day of snowboarding. I had an accident which hospitalized me for a week. I required 8 weeks of recovery. Rachael helped me to complete many tasks that I was unable to because of my condition.

Also, the seller received several cash offers much higher than mine after the fact. They became difficult. They started doing things to try and force me out of escrow.

They took a couple of thousand dollars’ worth of furniture from the home at the last minute. Furniture which was in our deal. Imagine buying a car then finding out the seller had taken out the stereo at the last minute. Rachael stood her ground and told them that was unacceptable. In the end the seller’s agent paid me cash for what they had taken in escrow.

So if you’re thinking about working with Rachael do it. You’ll be glad you did.
