Rachel spent her youth in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. On Memorial Day weekend in 1997, Rahcel pitched her tent in the Moab desert to escape the city and find peace. She did not realize at the time, that this small town was going to keep her here, year after year. Moab, beautiful Moab... the birthplace of her daughter, the little city she has chosen to call home. Rachel loves that she can walk out her front door and be paddling on the Colorado River 20 minutes later. The endless beauty of this area mesmerizes her daily, and she does not take it for granted. She is so proud of this community; she has been so lucky to become a part of and raise her daughter in.
Rachel started her career in 2003 as a property manager for commercial mixed-use properties in the Center and Main corridor. She has negotiated hundreds of leases, assisted dozens of small business owners, as well as improved historic structures and apartments to provide on-going local housing.
Rachel stepped into real estate sales in 2004; she opened her own Brokerage in 2008, then merged with Berkshire Hathaway Utah Properties in 2020. She is a strong negotiator and excellent advisor; she has completed sales transactions ranging from small lots, raw land, single family homes, nightly rentals, multifamily units, and commercial buildings. She loves the balance of protecting and guiding first time home buyers and sellers, as well as negotiating for strong investors and developers. Rachel is Moab's top producer, and she could not be more honored.
Over the years, Rachel has served as the President of the local Association of Realtors, Chairman for the Housing Opportunity Fund, Director for the Utah Association, member of the Moab Area Housing Task Force, USU Dean's Council, and many, many other committees. She is a graduate of Leadership UAR, a Certified Residential Specialist, Accredited Buyers Representative, and Seller Representative Specialist. But most importantly, she is an all-around authentic, trustworthy person ready to help you with your big life decision in Moab, Utah. She loves working with people and making dreams come true.
