Meet Ray
Ray, a married father of three grown children was born in Puerto Rico and raised in NYC. After graduating from Queens College, he began his career as a dental ceramist. A decade later, he purchased and operated a successful dental laboratory. After visiting and falling in love with Saint Augustine in 1995, he sold his business and home and started a new life in our sunny shores. Once here, Ray decided to use his forty-years of experience as a martial artist to teach others the benefits of the art and opened Black Belt Karate Academy, which he ran for fifteen years, while publishing three novels and cultivating still another successful career as a Realtor and real estate investor. Today, Ray is as busy and happy as ever alongside, Cecilia his beautiful wife and real estate partner.

Ray, un padre de tres hijos adultos, nacio en Puerto Rico y fue criado en Nueva York. Luego de graduarse de Queens College, comenzo su carrera como ceramista dental. Una decada despues, compro y opero con exito su propio laboratorio dental. Durante una visita en 1995 a St. Augustine, se encanto con la cuidad, decidio vender su negocio y comenzar una nueva vida en las bellas playas de Florida. Una vez aqui, Ray decidio hacer uso de sus 40 anos de experiencia en las artes marciales y abrio “Black Belt Karate Academy,” la cual mantuvo por quince anos, mientras publicaba tres novelas y cultivaba, aun otra carrera como agente e investor de bienes raices. Estos dias, Ray se encuentra sumamente ocupado y feliz trabajando al lado de su hermosa esposa Cecilia, su companera en el negocio de bienes raices.

Meet Cecilia
I am a native of Colombia, South America. Since 1986 I have lived in the United States, in the states of Alabama and Florida.
For most of my professional life, I have worked as a high school and college professor, teaching Spanish to thousands of students. During my educational career I was very lucky to work with wonderful students and colleagues with whom I still have a relationship. My teaching career extended for 25 years, and during that time I received my Masters Degree in Education and Spanish language, a National Board Certification, and several other distinctions and awards.
Two years ago, I started thinking on a career change. Real estate was something of interest to me, and thought a good fit for my personality. I love meeting and helping people, I am a good listener, a detail oriented person, very determined, organized, and hardworking. With the help and encouragement of my husband Ray, an already successful real estate agent in St. Augustine I went for my real estate license. Real estate is my second career, but my educational and real estate goals remain the same: I like to make a positive difference in peoples’ lives, by educating them throughout the buying and selling process, so they can achieve their goals and thus making the transaction as smooth and well-informed as possible.
When I am not working as a real estate agent I love to relax and spend time with my family, read, listen to music, cooking and eating, going to the movies, and traveling.
Soy original de Colombia, Sur America. En 1986 me mude a los Estados Unidos y desde entonces he vivido en los estados de Alabama y Florida.
Durante la mayor parte de mi vida profesional he trabajado como profesora de español en escuelas secundarias y universidades. Me siento muy afortunada de haber tenido la oportunidad de trabajar con estudiantes y colegas maravillosos. Aun mantengo una relación y comunicación con muchos de ellos. Mi carrera educacional se extendió por 25 anos
