I need a platinum 6th star for Ray! This review is an update from my buying experience to now selling. Also, this is not only a review of Ray and his team's phenomenal service but a thank you. As a military member, moving every 3 years is one of the most stressful parts of our job and Ray made that experience as least stressful helping me buy a home and then helping me sell my home. Ray and his team go beyond what other realtors do. I felt like I was someone buying and selling a multi million dollar property when dealing with them. When I purchased the home Ray ensured I was able to close during covid so I would not have to live on base. When I sold the home I only had to provide information, Ray took care of EVERYTHING. When I contacted Ray about selling, he met me and went over the exact the process and strategy of selling the home and had research info to help me understand the 'why'. He went through the home advising what I needed to do to prepare and even told me not to bother with some work I had planned saving me time and money. After meeting, he scheduled all photography to work with my schedule and arranged appointment showings schedules that worked for me. Even the day before closing the dryer belt broke and though I stressed over it because I had to leave town, Ray calmly said he would handle it and the next day a repairman was there and fixed it. For the closing he recommended all companies to close and gave them my schedule to work with. Customer service is a dying art but Ray truly understands customer service and takes care of you like you are his #1 customer. I have purchased 5 homes through my career and any realtor can get you in and out of a home, but there is definitely a difference in the buying/selling experience. If you want the 'luxury spa' realtor treatment vs going through the steps, use Ray and his team.

My Husband and I just purchased a condo in Arlington, VA. In the beginning we were working without a Realtor and then we were introduced to Luis. We could not have navigated all the nuances in this area without his help. He was super responsive and helped make the entire process run smoothly. Especially since we were buying from out of State. Ray and John were incredible to work with as a first-time homebuyer. They were extremely knowledgeable about neighborhoods and condominiums all over Northern Virginia and were able to provide excellent advice regarding each property I was interested in. Above all, they helped me make a creative offer that was accepted over other bids in a very competitive market without going over my budget. This review is long overdue. We enlisted Ray to sell our house in Alexandria about two years ago. He was a joy to work with, was easily reached, and was very straight-forward about what we should and should not expect. If memory serves, he had our house sold before the first open house. He went above and beyond in working with our property manager and the the current tenants (we had been renting out the house). We feel like we got top dollar, and the process could not have been smoother. Oh! I should also mention that all of this was done while we're several states away (we're military). If you want your house sold fast, and for the best price, talk to Ray!

I had the privilege of working directly with Ray and it was great! At the time of my search, I was living in Seattle and randomly found him because he was the seller of a house that seemed perfect. We corresponded by email for a couple of weeks and arranged for a morning tour of properties during a quick visit to Alexandria. I was nervous at first because it was the first time I was buying a home, and I was putting a lot on the line hoping that Ray would be the right one. During our morning - we first stopped at the place that I had been eyeing on Zillow. I didn’t feel pressured at all - in fact I was surprised that he encouraged me to not make a decision and took me to multiple properties - slowly getting a feel for what I was looking for. In the end, I went for my first choice. Ray was patient the whole time and also took the time to give another tour for my partner, since she hadn’t seen the place. I had to go back to Seattle and were able to do the other logistics remotely, from inspection to getting the finances in order. Everything was on-time, Ray was always available for questions, and the final close was flawless. We’ve been living in our house for 1.5 years and have no intention of leaving, but if we do, we’re going back to Ray without hesitation.

We were looking for a place to rent for a year or two for a temporary assignment. I was flying in from Washington state with a tight timeline and Ray and his associates found a number of places to visit during the day I was back there. It was the day of the company Christmas party and Ray took me around personally so his staff could have the day off. He was super nice, informative of the area, and obviously a great boss. My wife and I decided to sell our first home in Alexandria, Virginia, in 2011. We contacted Angela Warren who shared with us that our property had increased in value from approximately $125,000 to $415,000. She recommended a few minor improvements, like having a pedestal sink installed in the bathroom. The house went on the real estate market on a Friday; there was an open house on a Saturday, and our house sold for the asking price on Sunday. Angela of Ray Gernhart and Associates was just terrific.

I met Ray a decade ago when I needed to sell my Townhouse. He made the process very easy and sold my home for above the asking price. He took care of all of the inspections and appraisal appointments and made it an easy and seemless process. I recently had the pleasure of doing business with Suzanne Everett of ReMax Allegiance for the SECOND time and cannot be more grateful for all her knowledge and professionalism in the real estate market. Several years ago, I employed Susanne to find me a place to purchase. With a severely limited budget and tight restrictions on location for schools, neighborhood, etc. Suzanne was very patient and dedicated in finding me the "perfect fit:". Now, several years later, I had to sell this property and Suzanne was there again with her vast knowledge of the market and professional advice to me. The property was in need of some renovations to acheve maximum results, and Suzanne knew exactly where I should spend my scarce dollars. Needless to say, selling a property over the Christmas holiday season is not an easy task, however, through her knowledge of what updates were most important and pricing the property well, she delivered me a contract within 3 days . . . yes, 3 days! Less than two months later, we closed yesterday!! I am so grateful and highly recommend Suzanne to anyone needing real estate services.
