Rebecca Mitchell

Rebecca Mitchell is a native South Dakotan, raised on the family farm. Boeing brought her to Kansas in the mid 90's when the 737 next generation airplane was the next best thing. She has a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and has 22 years of experience in aircraft design and repair. But, after two decades of engineering, she decided it was time for a change and took a leap of faith to pursue a career in real estate. Her own real estate transactions in buying and selling a few homes over the years, as well as acquiring a few rental houses and fixer-uppers, had sparked an interest that kept tapping on her conscience as she'd make the commute to her engineering job.

As a farm kid, country roots run deep for Rebecca. The solid work ethic and integrity that she learned on the farm is as strong today as ever. Further, as a MRB Liaison Engineer for the greater part of her engineering career, she learned and honed invaluable problem solving, organizational, and negotiating skills that will no doubt be tremendous assets in the real estate market. She's excited about the prospect of putting that spirit to work helping you achieve your real estate goals, whether it be buying or selling a home.

Rebecca is passionate about community service and volunteer work. She considers herself lucky to have been given the opportunity to work as a Loaned Executive for the United Way of the Plains during their annual campaign in 2011 and was thrilled to win the Laurie Green Loaned Executive of the Year award.

Rebecca and her two daughters spend much of their time outside, taking care of the horses, cows, dogs and cats they house on their hobby farm south east of Wichita. Church, community activities, sports and 4-H also take up much of their time and efforts. Finally if there is a free moment, you'll find them soaking up the sun at the lake!
