We put her through a harrowing obstacle course of challenging escrows before finding our final home, and she was professional, charming, knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly responsive and responsible throughout. I almost wish we had to move every year just so we could keep working with her. If you are looking for a realtor in the Bayfield, CO area, Rebecca Purcell with Bayfield Realty is the lady to call! We live 12 hours from the area and Rebecca saved us several trips by stepping up and taking care of problems as they arose. She went out of her way to make sure we had a good experience listing with her. She is very professional and knowledgeable and we highly recommend her. Rebecca came highly recommended, and I am glad that we were able to do business. I approached her with an inherited piece of property that had been ignored for several years. She showed herself to be very knowledgeable as to what was needed to correct certain legal issues and make the property marketable.
After buyers were found it was determined that sometime in the last century the original sale had been documented incorrectly. Rebecca became our advocate with the county and the title company for weeks. Despite the soup sandwich that we saddled her with Rebecca kept a positive professional attitude without glossing over the difficulties that we had to overcome. When she didn't have an answer, she said so, and then proceeded to find one. All of this was made even harder by the fact that we were over 400 miles away. All legwork, handholding and negotiating fell to Rebecca. The fact that the sale finally closed and at the original price must be credited to her ability and hard work.
Without hesitation I would recommend Rebecca Parnell and her office to anyone needing a real estate agent in their area.

Rebecca was a great help in our quest to secure a beautiful lot in southwestern Colorado. After guiding us through the entire process of submitting offers on two separate home listings, only to lose out to a lower offer on the first home and having Rebecca unveil a horrifically high heating bill when doing due diligence on the second home (just prior to our inspection deadline) Rebecca was always looking out for our best interests, assisting with offer determinations for best success, and recommending home or well inspections as well as providing contacts for pre-approved financing. Amidst a super-hot real estate market in 2020-2021 In the Durango-Bayfield area, Rebecca prepared and submitted offers to listing agents on the same day that listings appeared on Zillow. Rebecca was very accommodating and adjusted her schedule to meet with us for home inspections as we traveled from Wisconsin over long weekends. Rebecca also pre-scouted properties for us to make sure that trips from Wisonsin were warranted.
We highly recommend Rebecca Parnell for anyone pursuing homes or properties in the Bayfield and Durango area.

Rebecca was the listing agent for a property we found in Bayfield, she was extremely prompt in responding and communicating through the difficult time of COVID-19. She consistently kept us on top of our deadlines, helped us with choosing inspectors, and negotiating with the seller!
