The Ben David family goes back many generations on the Vineyard. Growing up Rene worked on the Oak Bluffs Harbor for years pumping gas at church’s pier marina as well as helping out at Ben David Motors where his dad Arthur and Uncle Donald owned a Dodge /Chrysler dealership. Rene still lives in Oak Bluffs with his wife Mel and two children.

He became a licensed professional in November 2010 and joined the staff of Ocean Park Realty later that year. On March 6,2014 Rene’ became one of a select few in America by becoming a REALTOR ®. With Extensive knowledge of the Vineyard he brings a wealth of information to help clients move forward with what could be their largest decision in life whether it is SELLING or BUYING a home.

We are writing this review and sharing our home buying story with regards to Rene Ben David.

After being dissatisfied with our last realtor, my wife and I met Rene by chance at an open house as we walked through the campgrounds. The showing was closing but Rene took the time to show us the house and discuss all thing Martha’s Vineyard. Being a lifelong islander, we were very impress with Rene’s knowledge of Martha’s Vineyard. We could tell within a few minutes into our conversation, talking about the real-estate on Martha’s Vineyard was not just a job, it was his passion.

After leaving the showing, we knew that if we were to buy a house on Martha’s Vineyard that Rene was going to represent us.

Living off island, we came back and forth to view houses many times. Rene would meet us at the boat and take us to the showing. His professional opinion was helpful when making the right offer. When we found a potential house and could not make it to the showing Rene would graciously do the walk through via Face Time. Rene always above and beyond any other realtor that we encountered on the island. We found that he is working constantly, early morning phone calls, checking-ins during the day, or late afternoon emails, Rene is on top of all things in the Martha’s Vineyard real estate circles.

We recently bought our dream home in Vineyard Haven thanks to Rene’s tenacity. When our initial deal went south with the lender at the eleventh hour, Rene stepped up and introduce us to a local lender and all of financing fell into place, making our dreams come true.

If we were to grade Rene as a realtor, we would give him 5 stars plus in all categories (knowledge of MV real estate, his professionalism, interpersonal skill, and knowing how to get the deal done).

We highly recommend Rene Ben David to anyone looking for a Realtor on Martha’s Vineyard. Now as new homeowners, we can call Rene a friend…
