About Richard

Salida has been home for over 20 years. Having spent those years full-time in real estate sales and development, he "knows" the valley. He has two kids, Sarah and Warren, in school and wouldn't want to raise them anywhere else. For that matter, he wouldn't want to live anywhere else. He grew up in the San Francisco Bay area, then moved to Colorado over 35 years ago, and has traveled the state extensively and lives here for many reasons. Skiing is what attracted him initially. He started working part-time at Monarch as a professional ski instructor and has enjoyed this Colorado gem ever since. He's been a season pass holder for over 20 years. The mountains and the rivers are best friends, but the small-town charm and security are a big part of why he is here.
