Rich Kenefic has been an active and engaged member of the Orono, Maine community since 1994. Originally hailing from upstate New York, he and his wife Laura relocated to Orono for graduate school, and they fell in love with the area, deciding to make it their permanent home. Rich and Laura have two children who have successfully navigated the Orono school system and are now attending college.
Alongside his role at ERA Dawson Bradford, Rich has made significant contributions to the community through his involvement in music education. He has taught music privately, as well as at various Elementary, Middle, and High Schools in the local area. Furthermore, Rich has served as a faculty member at esteemed educational institutions such as the University of Maine, UMaine Augusta Bangor campus, and EMCC for over 15 years.
During his children's formative years, Rich actively coached their sports teams in baseball, hockey, soccer, and basketball, demonstrating his commitment to both family and community. Nowadays, people can often find Rich participating in basketball and hockey games at various local venues, as sports remain an important part of his life. Additionally, Rich's musical talents are well-known, and he frequently performs in a diverse range of musical settings, including his band, solo performances, and collaborations with local groups such as the Penobscot Theater.
