Richard Poissant is a dedicated husband, father, community member, and Realtor. Richard is a “numbers guy”. He is straight-forward and works tirelessly representing Sellers and Buyers in the residential market in Western Massachusetts-primarily in Hampshire, Hampden, and Franklin Counties. Richard and his family have made Belchertown home.

Prior to Real Estate sales, Richard was part of a family dry wall business where he gained experience in home construction and a desire to help others with their housing needs. He has built a successful career in Real Estate sales for over 15 years.

Richard Poissant and Debra Neveu partnered together in 2005 to form The Poissant & Neveu Team and have jointly closed 600+ homes in the region including but not limited to: Belchertown, Amherst, South Hadley, Northampton, Hadley, Ludlow, Chicopee, Wilbraham, Longmeadow, Palmer and surrounding areas. Richard and Debra invested in being part Owners of the Office known as Re/Max Swift River Valley.

Richard and his wife Sarah have been married for nearly 20 years and have 2 great kids. You will often see Richard around Town coaching and being actively involved with his kids’ sports and events. Richard is also a member of the local Knights of Columbus and is an avid golfer.

We are proud to work and live in an area near Quabbin Reservoir, Northampton shopping at Thornes Market, the Connecticut River and all of the local Colleges such as UMass, Amherst College, Mt. Holyoke College, Elms College, Smith College, Hampshire College, and Amherst College. There are so many offerings from art to the outdoors in our area. We are also known for our hospitals: Baystate Health, Cooley Dickinson, Mary Lane, Noble Hospital, Holyoke Hospital and other major businesses such as Mass Mutual, Callaway Golf, and the new MGM Springfield.

Richard was trained by Mike Ferry Coaches and has built strong relationships with local builders and lending institutions. Richard is proactive and committed to helping you all the way through the process. Experience and knowledge combined with enthusiasm, integrity, and commitment leads Richard and his Team to success.
