Richard Schaefer

Richard Schaefer is the Vice President and Director of Commercial Sales at NAI Ruhl Commercial Company. He is dedicated to delivering exceptional commercial real estate services, emphasizing honesty, accountability, and continuous communication. As a lifelong resident of the Quad Cities, Richard has a deep understanding of the local market.

With a focus on industrial and office property transactions across the Midwest and nationwide through NAI Global, Richard represents both sellers/landlords and buyers/tenants. His expertise spans site analysis, contract negotiations, zoning and building regulations, construction costs, and financial considerations.

Richard holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing & Management from Drake University, has completed the coursework for the CCIM designation, and is pursuing an MBA at St. Ambrose University. He joined NAI Ruhl Commercial Company in 1991, following six years as General Manager of a regional construction firm.

Active in his community, Richard is a member of the Quad City Area REALTOR Association, serves on the board of Davenport Family Homes, and is part of the Scott County Condemnation Appraisal Jury. He has also led the Quad Cities Morning Optimist Club and the Vera French Housing Corporation.

Richard's achievements include induction into the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame in 2015 and numerous awards such as Commercial Associate of the Year and Top Producer. Licensed in Iowa and Illinois, he has been a Multi-Million Dollar Producer every year from 1993 to 2022 and has consistently received the Excellence in Customer Service Award since 2001.
