Richard Trottnow

My name is Rich Trottnow, and I recently joined Realty One Group – Engage the Keys as a Sales Associate. I was born in the Philadelphia area and was introduced to the restaurant business very early. My love of hospitality led me to seek a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in New York. Upon graduating, I pursued my dream of traveling, living, and learning in some parts of the country. Living in places like Maui, Jackson Hole, and the coast of Oregon (where I met Susi, my wife of over thirty years) allowed me to appreciate the many wonders of resort living. Susi and I moved to the Keys after enjoying life in Lake Tahoe, California, for 25 years. We love the warm weather and boating on our beautiful waters but have found that the people we meet honestly complete the Island lifestyle.

Since arriving in the Islamorada area, we have learned to love the Keys and relish opportunities. Susi has blossomed into an artist, and many mentors have helped to bring out her talents in ceramics, painting, and more. I am lucky to have Judy Rossignol, a long-time Realtor in the Keys, as my broker and mentor. The real estate and rental market is fascinating, and I enjoy using the skills I learned in my previous career to help my clients find their little piece of paradise. We have now formed Engage the Keys to handle luxury vacation rentals, property management, and real estate sales. Let us put our team to work for you!

We represented many of our rental owners when they purchased their property; some of our renters have become owners. The relationships I have developed with both our owners and rental clients have proved very rewarding. I feel that these contacts, along with the support of my partners and the added power of Realty One Group, have prepared me well to handle the needs of buyers and sellers here in the beautiful Florida Keys.
