My sister, Karen had passed away in March and the task of selling her house fell on my brother and myself.. We did not know any Real Estate Agent's at the time, so I called in 3 different agents and we are so happy that we chose Rita Rooney to help us. She was so knowledgeable and always had our best interest in mind. She also was the best prepared with comp sales in the Greenport area, which helped us to establish a fair asking price.

After setting our asking price, Rita went above and beyond to help prepare the house for the upcoming open house . She actually helped us with cleaning and eliminating some furniture to make the house look less cluttered. She then did a fabulous job of staging the house with much of her own items. The result of the open house was 7 offers, 6 of which far exceeded our asking price and we were able to close approximately one month later. A perfect transaction, made possible with Rita's help. At the closing, Rita presented me with 3 beautiful framed paintings as a memory of my sister Karen's house. One for my Mom, one for my brother and one for myself.

My wife and I were trying to purchase a home and luckily found Ms. Rita Rooney. As most recent home buyers have experienced, the inventory of available homes was limited and demand from other buyers high. This made making a offer and obtaining acceptance of that offer difficult at best.

Ms. Rooney made navigating the buying process as easy as possible. From finding, showing, negotiating, inspections, survey snd closing, she was always there for us. She went above and beyond what many real estate agents would provide, patience with us included.

After receiving a great recommendation from a friend, I decided on Rita Rooney @ Douglas Elliman to sell my house in Southold. It was the best decision for me. She dipped into her artistic creativity and staged the house to give it the appeal it needed. It was an older home in need of upgrading and she embraced the charm and history to its fullest.
