About Rob

Rob Garrett was born and raised in High Point, North Carolina and graduated from Appalachian State University in 1994. He has had the mountain bug ever since. Rob and his wife, Chelsea, came to Blowing Rock via Winston-Salem where they attended Wake Forest University for graduate school, Rob for his MBA and Chelsea for her law degree.

Growing up in High Point, Rob's professional career naturally began in the furniture industry, where he received numerous sales awards including New Sales Representative of the Year and Sales Representative of the Year for Sealy Inc. and the Simmons Company, respectively.

Prior to working in residential real estate sales, Rob spent six years working for developers and specializing in private communities with many amenities. Rob and Chelsea fell in love with the people, pace of life and hometown-feel of Blowing Rock and could not imagine raising their two boys anywhere else. Having grown up only a short distance away, Rob learned to ski in those mountains and plans to teach his children to ski there as well.

Rob is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, North Carolina Association of REALTORS®, the High Country Association of REALTORS®, BRAHM and First Baptist Church of Blowing Rock.
