Rob is presently the managing broker of record and owner of SVN Delaware, LLC trading as Alliance Real Estate Professionals located in Sussex County Delaware.
Rob was a senior advisor for Sperry Van Ness Commercial Real Estate, specializing in the sale and leasing of industrial property in Sussex County, Delaware and the adjacent Maryland areas. With more than 20 years of industry practice. A native of Washington D.C., Harman spent nearly 20 years in the District of Columbia’s commercial office maintenance and management arena, serving as a facility manager in the private industry in several high rise office buildings in Northwest D.C. and then as a Building’s Manager for the General Services Administration at the Dept. of Interior, State Department and finally the White House Group including the East and West wings of the White House, the Old and New Executive Office Buildings and the Blair House under the Reagan administration.
Harman earned Delaware Real Estate license in 1995 and began to sell and lease in the Seaford, Delaware area until 2000 when he became a Broker in both Delaware and Maryland. Harman then started Home Team Realty with a partner, which quickly became the top residential sales and listing company in their market with more than 30 agents. He now serves as the broker of 2 other companies and is exclusively selling and leasing commercial properties in Maryland and Delaware.
Harman’s extensive and unique experience enables him to recognize the special needs of commercial clients and the specialized tools and experience required to fulfill them. His faith based ethics and community service are evidenced by his past and continued involvement with the Association of Realtors at the county level where he was president in 2007 and REALTOR of the Year in 2008, President of the Delaware Association of Realtors in 2014. He served in the Seaford Lion’s Club as past president, Habitat for Humanity; the Seaford Men’s Mission, Teen Challenge, Rotary and was recently appointed as Chair for the capitol campaign for the Nanticoke Senior Center in Seaford, Delaware. As part of that mission, Rob helped negotiate the lease of a temporary space for the center and the purchase of the former clubhouse of the Seaford Golf and Country Club as the new center location. While some major grants have already been received, fund raising at the community level is just beginning.
He currently resides in Seaford, Delaware with his wife and children. In his free time, Harman enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, writing music, and leading the band at his church.
