Block Island has been home to her for over 20 years. She loves being a year-round resident sharing her life with her husband Dave, their son Zane, and the Block Island community. She was born into the real estate business; her mother was an agent in the Maryland/Virginia/D.C. area for over 35 years. To execute her legacy is her biggest honor. When you live on Block Island year-round everyone wants to know your story, so here is hers… She lived in Chicago for several years, she moved there to continue her career in politics. Once at the height of her career, she decided to challenge herself by simplifying her life. She left Chicago with a backpack and started to travel; her travels ended on Block Island. She arrived on Block Island in November and caught the last ferry to the Island. The ferry ended up not running for the next three days. In those three days, she found a place to live, a career and a lifetime of friends. She feels fortunate every day to not only live in an amazingly beautiful place but to be a part of the Block Island community. The Island’s true gem is its people. She is an active member on the board for the Block Island Conservancy (BIC). The preservation of the Island is important to her. The success of the BIC will ensure that the Island remains the same for her son Zane and future generations. She is also an active member of the Block Island Housing Board. The town appointed Housing Board works to create affordable homes for all Island residents. Her success is simple, she works hard, and she has a passion for what she does. She is thoughtful and authentic, and she creates relationships that go beyond the closing. Next time you are on Island, come by for a visit.
