About Roxana

Roxana was born in New Haven, Connecticut, to a father who was a radiology professor at Yale University, and a mother who sold insurance. When Roxanne was a young girl, her father decided to relocate back to his native Colombia to practice medicine.It was in Barranquilla, where she went to high school and college and eventually obtained a law degree from the Universidad Simon Bolivar. In 2010, she achieved her goal -- securing her doctorate in Jurisprudence at the Universidad Simon Bolivar.“I was raised to be independent. My colleagues pegged me as self-motived with a positive attitude and state of mind.”Roxanne’s sales background included selling life insurance and enhancing her client’s long-term investment portfolios at Grupo Colpatria. She was manager and director of a sales team of over twenty-five agents.It was a Grupo Colpatria that she was involved in wealth management – navigating her clients through short and mid-term investments, CDs and life insurance plans. She also managed portfolios consisting of one million dollars or more, and continued her research and investigation for available investment opportunities to determine the best financial plans for new and existing clients.Having received a wonderful job offer in the legal field, she relocated back to the United States. Her children also encouraged her to return because they wanted an opportunity to study. Roxanne, too, sat for her LSAT in an effort to attend law school. However, she decided to continue her work as a paralegal for an Immigration firm Thereafter, Roxana became a paralegal at Shefer Law Firm P.A., assisting with the preparation of all EB-5 offering documents and working with foreign nationals and immigration. She is also familiar with Investors Visas as EB-5 and E2 and work-related Visas such as H1B, and L Visas.Now that her children are adults and seeing that one of the major needs of the immigration client was Real Estate, Roxanne obtained her license and was eager to get started assisting those needs. She understood the numbers and how they could affect the client.“I have been involved in the paperwork and have worked closely with the attorneys to ensure the best interest of the client with regards to investments.
