About Ryan

Like many residents of Central Texas, Ryan moved to the area in 2003 due to being stationed at Fort Hood. After moving to Texas, he was stateside only a few short weeks before embarking on his first of two combat deployments to the middle east. With his first active-duty enlistment coming to a close, Ryan began searching for a career opportunity in the civilian world that would allow him to interact with people and pursue his desire to become an entrepreneur, he found all of these things in real estate.

In real estate, Ryan found a natural fit, going from a modest first year in sales to selling 103 homes in his second year in the business and being ranked the #1 agent in Temple shortly thereafter.

As word of mouth and consistent results spread, the business only continued to increase. It slowly became apparent that to continue to provide world-class service to the Central Texas area, Ryan would not be able to do this alone. In 2011, The Ryan Smith Home Selling Team was born.

Since its origin in 2011, Ryan and The Ryan Smith Home Selling Team have won national attention, being ranked by Real Trends and the Wall Street Journal as one of the Top 250 real estate teams in the United States and serving more than 3,000+ families with their real estate needs over the last 15+ years.

Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, following nearly all sports, learning more about business development and entrepreneurship. He also currently continues to serve as an airborne infantry soldier in the US military.
