About Sarah
Sarah Ellis grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia, before moving to Athens to attend the University of Georgia, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in education. After studying abroad at Oxford University in England, she returned to Athens and taught Middle School in Clarke and Oconee Counties for four years. She has lived with her family in various Athens neighborhoods ever since and she has been fortunate to get to know the city as home.
As Sarah was seeking an alternative career path, she was looking for something that kept her out and with people. Real estate was exciting, and Athens is an amazing town with so many different unique neighborhoods that each have their own personality.
Sarah joined a national brokerage firm and was named their Newly Licensed Agent of the Year. She found her love for real estate through her interactions with clients: when someone finds the house that perfectly fits, you can see it happen in their eyes when they walk in the door if you are paying attention to your client.
Christy, Stephanie, and she formed Corcoran Classic Living in 2005. She obtained her broker’s license in 2006 and was named Managing Broker of Corcoran Classic Living. She earned her titles of consistent top producer in the Athens market, Graduate Realtor Institute designation, and Broker of Corcoran Classic Living for 16 years. She chose to work with Corcoran Classic Living because she wanted to be a part of a small, supportive, hard working group of agents who work from the same set of work ethic and goals. She loves the boutique feel of our agency, and the support is amazing. They are incredibly proud of how far they have come, as Corcoran Classic Living has grown to be the #1 Independent Firm in Athens year after year.
Sarah is efficient and she understands what it is her clients need to achieve their real estate goals without putting them through an exhaustive experience. Her education background affords her the ability to thoroughly explain the process, and her years of experience have offered her the opportunity to anticipate and protect against almost any scenario.
It is part of the company culture to be sure that they are reaching a wide variety of organizations with their resources. She felt called back to her public education roots, and she served for 8 years on the Clarke County Board of Education. It was a rewarding and transformational time for her. She currently serves on multiple boards at the Athens Area Association of Realtors, and she supports a broad range of organizations around town with both time and financial commitments. Athens is a city with high needs and lots of opportunities to support nonprofits.
