About Sarah

Sarah’s family and closest friends call her Scooter. She spent her formative years teaching secondary school, raising her children, volunteering, and later caring for 3 aged parents. In 2001, she had to add her mother’s presence to the Paw-Paw so many old friends and students remember so well. In 2002, Pawpaw left her older, wiser, and greatly entertained. In 2006, Mother succumbed to her long-term illness after six long months in Greenwoods incredible Hospice House. The 1.5-hour trip to check on her was extremely hard on her family but caused them all to bend and not to break. She became like the famous tree in a storm. Her patience and tolerance, not to mention her stamina and negotiating skills, grew as much with his octogenarians as they did during her combined years with his beloved children and her adored students in NC, GA, TX, and several SC locations. She learned from every experience and, hopefully, from every mistake. She finds that she has become as attached to her clients as she inevitably did to her students and family. Since she was really selling education for so many years, the new career she has chosen fits nicely with her experience and her love of adventure.
