Shanda Richardson

With a background in new home construction, land development and marketing, Shanda Richardson has spent more than 14 years as a real estate professional working as a broker in charge, relocation specialist, and in luxury residential sales. Over the past decade, she has assisted hundreds of clients with their real estate needs, earning Shanda recognition as one of Asheville's Top 100 REALTORS®. Currently, she helps buyers and sellers of all price points throughout the greater Asheville area and is proud of the reputation she has built amongst colleagues and clients.

Shanda began her real estate career in her native Michigan, working in land development and construction. After relocating to the mountains of western North Carolina, Shanda continued to fuel her passion for helping her clients reach their real estate goals while working with buyers and sellers throughout the Asheville area.

Shanda lives in the heart of downtown Black Mountain with her husband, John, and their daughters, Emily, and Laura James, and enjoys vacationing at the family's island cottage in Michigan's upper peninsula. A vital part of the local community, Shanda and John own Black Mountain Kitchen and Ale House and Black Mountain Brewing. Additionally, she has served on the town's Historic Preservation Commission and is proud to offer special real estate programs for area teachers.
