Shaner Magalhaes

Between his work as a REALTOR®, a long-time volunteer in the community and in the real estate industry, and a constant adventure seeker, Shaner is a force to be reckoned with. It’s why he's called a triple threat.

Shaner fell in love with the Iowa City area while earning his BBA and MBA from the University of Iowa. He jumped into the world of real estate in 2010, combining his background in business and management with his large community network to give his clients an excellent buying and selling experience.

Over the years, Shaner has made himself an essential part of the Corridor and statewide real estate scene, serving as the president of several state and local real estate organizations. He also went above and beyond in his education, earning his CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert) and AHWD (At Home with Diversity) designations from the National Association of REALTORS®.

Shaner gets involved in the community outside of real estate, too. Over the years, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Summer of the Arts, the Iowa City Public Library, the Iowa Finance Authority, the Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance, and the Coralville Public Library, to name a few.

Shaner’s passion for community is rivaled only by his love for adventure. He enjoys hiking, playing board and card games, and generally just hanging out with his wife, Barbara, and their three adult children.
