Dear Prospective Buyer or Seller: Buying and selling a home is by its very nature emotionally charged and stressful. Even though just less than 3 weeks ago we moved over 3000 miles from Tacoma WA to Annapolis MD, writing a reference letter for Shannon hit the top of my list of what I felt was of highest priority. In April 2010, we bought a house in Annapolis, and the process was completed a lot sooner than we had anticipated. We then realized we needed to sell our house as soon as possible, at the best price possible. We first heard of Shannon when the house diagonally across from us sold in 4 days, for more than the asking price. Our neighbor informed us that the selling agent was Shannon. Subsequently, another friend called and said that she had known Shannon for years, and that she not only successfully sold houses, but brought with that skill an awesome positive energy to all with whom she worked and befriended. So we called Shannon and asked if she would be willing to interview with my husband, who flew back immediately and planned to get our house ready for sale. My husband, a retired and cautious attorney, set up 3 interviews. When he met Shannon he called me (I was still on the East coast) and said, “It is hard to imagine anyone being more competent than Shannon, and if it is all right with you I think I will just cancel the third interview and tell the first we have made the decision.” From there, Shannon dissipated all the stress from our house sale and took charge. And she did. She held an open house immediately, stayed almost 2 hours longer than it was scheduled for (hosting over 100 lookers) and a few days later brought us a full price cash offer. But that wasn’t the awesome part. The potential buyer had recently experienced some unusual emotional trauma and was very hesitant at every turn, including retaining an attorney to review every step from offer, inspection, re-inspection, contract amendments, etc. We were concerned that this buyer may be just too reluctant to follow through. However, we had Shannon, who was there at every step of the way before, during and afterwards, to smooth the edges and address concerns of all parties. She put it all together in a way that worked for all of us. And again, she did it; she kept us all informed, connected, calm, and satisfied. The house sale went off without a hitch and we all felt awed and eternally grateful for the role Shannon played in our lives. I would absolutely recommend Shannon as your choice of realtor if you are a potential buyer or seller; you will find her to be personally and professionally awesome in your life! Sincerely, Laura Stansbury

Homes.com Review

We highly recommend Shannon Bell-Peterson as a listing and/or buying agent for a number of reasons. We worked with her in both capacities as we purchased our home last July, 2009 and then sold our property February 2010. Despite the challenges of the market, Shannon was able to to navigate the markets ebbs and flows, aggressively market, and follow through after our showings. She was highly effective as she marketed our property with great photos for the internet and flyers, communicated openly and honestly strategizing pricing and staging, and always following up after showings gathering feedback. We received regular communication regarding the market and were given comparables to help us keep ahead of the competition. We had the ideal experience with Shannon because she was open to our concerns and honest regarding the challenging conditions. In the end, we did very well selling our property and are pleased with our results. We believe we could not have had a better listing or selling agent than Shannon. She always had our best interest as her top priority. And we are happy to say, she worked tirelessly as we searched for our ideal home. The more we are living her, the more we love this new chapter of our lives. And, as we have told her many times, our home is rising up to meet us every day. Who could ask for more? Natalie Schultz
