I had the opportunity to work with Gary Ashley Sr. when I inherited a home in Blue Springs. I live about 3 hours away so Gary's experience and contacts were invaluable during the process. He arranged for a plumber to fix a broken pipe. He arrived quickly and was able to make the repair for a reasonable price. The day after we sold the house and were moving the last of the furniture out, one of the springs on the garage door broke. He called another one of his contacts who was able to make the repair the same day, also for a very fair price. Gary went above and beyond helping us get ready to sell. He removed carpeting that was destroyed when a pipe burst. He helped us move furniture and also took items we were donating to the DAV. He
provided estimates that helped us make a decision on whether to sell the home as is or with some improvements. Everything was very detailed and presented very professionally. If I were ever to move back to the area, Gary would be the first person I would call for help locating a new home. He's become a close trusted friend. I highly recommend him if you're in need of a seasoned professional real estate agent.

When I first met with Shaun, I was surprised because he did not tell me that my house might sell, should sell or could sell instead he said it WILL sell the first weekend and he was right. In fact, my home sold for more than the asking price and when I bought he made sure that I paid less than the asking price. I used to think real estate agents just collected an easy check but I was wrong. There are so many things involved in buying and selling a house from pricing, open houses, appraisals, negotiations, inspections, paperwork etc. and he is an expert at all of it with a whole team to assist you every step of the way. In fact he seems to have the whole process down to a science. Shaun and his team did an absolutely outstanding job! They truly went above and beyond to provide an excellent experience both selling our old house, and buying our new home.

I had called and talked to a few real estate agents before I called Shaun. But when I called him he didn't say "okay finish prepping your house and call me when it's show ready." He met with me right away, listened to my goals and concerns, and then laid out a simple "nickels into dollars" approach with a contractor he knew and trusted. We got the house up to code and upgraded nicely without much cost or time invested. At the showing we had several offers above asking price and were under contract within the first day of listing the house. Shaun also saved the day when closing had to be pushed back a few days due to a mistake the buyer's agent made regarding some flood insurance. Shaun and this team were able to save the deal and find a solution that even the buyer's agent hadn't seen.

The buying story is even better because in this market, buying a house is absolutely ridiculous. But not with the Shaun Ashley team! We got early access to a house being remodeled that wasn't on the market yet. We were able to make an offer in a non competitive environment and even got a say in some of the layout for the remodel of the basement! It was easy and drama free.

Can't say enough about Shaun. His character and attitude are outstanding. He brings experience, professionalism, great contacts and a phenomenal team to the table. Everyone Shaun works with from the inspector, to the radon company, contractors, are all equally quality individuals who bring that same level of professionalism to the table. If you want the best agent, Shaun Ashley is your guy.

Shaun Ashely is one of the most competent and honest real estate agents I know. My husband and I looked at probably 20 homes before deciding to build. Shaun appreciated we had a unique situation as we were merging 2 families and needed to make sure everyone’s needs were met. He also understood we had a strict budget and respected it. He was patient, understanding and stood behind us when corrections were needed in the build or expectations were not being met. An excellent communicator, he helped us understand the process, kept us updated, followed up with the builder, and took it upon himself to visit our “house in progress” when we were unable to or had concerns. We had a very positive experience with Shaun. As investors, after we were trying to sell our fully renovated house for few months and with no luck we met Shaun and decided to give him a chance and be the listing agent for the property. Shaun successfully managed to find the right buyer. And with professionalism, attention to detail, responsiveness he managed to close the deal. This was complicated by the fact that the house was long time on market, seasoning was not the best and other features that made the sell harder. Shaun was recommended to us by a close friend. We were extremely pleased with Shaun. From the first meeting, Shaun was easy to talk to and he set realistic expectations. He recommended a few repairs prior to listing, which we quickly completed.

We had a problem after the home inspector left. He had left a mess and a few things didn't work properly. I couldn't break away from work so Shaun responded to the house, without asking, and assisted my wife in getting things back in order. You don't get that kind of customer service anymore.
