About Shelia

Shelia understands that buying a home is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make, and she takes that responsibility very seriously. Shelia has gone the EXTRA mile to educate herself in Real Estate. She earned her ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative), GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute) designations, and she is an Associate Broker. She also works to stay abreast of current technology in order to serve her clients more efficiently.

Shelia’s husband, Dave Swaim, (who is also a Realtor) served many years in the Army’s 3rd ID. Shelia successfully home-schooled all 3 of her children from K-12 and it’s an accomplishment of which she is very proud. Shelia is a musician and actually travelled for several years playing an upright bass and singing backup in a contemporary bluegrass band. She is an avid sports fan, plays golf, loves camping and fishing……and she’s the ultimate host.

We have known Sheila Swaim for about ten years, and in 2006 we were looking to find a new home in Madison, AL. We chose Shelia to sell our home, and to find a new home. She listened to our needs for a new home, and showed us many homes until we found the perfect match. At the same time she was marketing the home we were selling, and through her efforts we were able to complete the sale and purchase. In early 2014 my job required us to relocate out of the North Alabama area. We again turned to Sheila Swaim, and in a difficult market, she worked tirelessly to sell our home. I was impressed with Sheila's professionalism, work ethic, and her ideas to market our home. My experience with Sheila, over many years and several transactions, has been extremely positive.
