Shenia Covey Lyford

I started my real estate career in 2016 at 19 years old. Within a year of business, I was licensed in both Vermont and New Hampshire as well as managing about 25 rental properties. With almost 9 years of experience in residential real estate, my clients can expect local expertise, honesty, and dedication when working with me.

As a native of the Upper Valley growing up in Thetford, Vermont, I have always treasured the power of community that comes from these small towns. The way that people go out of their way to help those in need is heartwarming. My goal as a real estate agent is to give back to the people who live here through my knowledge and expertise in housing. The magnitude of the home-buying process is part of what draws me to the real estate industry. During what is often a very emotional process, my goal is to maintain an upbeat atmosphere and keep the transaction moving in the right direction.

In 2018, I joined the Upper Valley Board of REALTORS® Board of Directors as the Communications Chair. Through my time on the board, I moved into the President-Elect position in 2020, President from 2021-2022 and most recently as treasurer in 2024. I was awarded Realtor of the Year by the board in 2022, an honor that I cherish. In early 2023 I was accepted into the New Hampshire Association of Realtors Leadership Academy and graduated in December of the same year. It has been a pleasure to work side-by-side with so many brilliant Realtors at both our community and state levels.

Outside of Real Estate, I obtained my associate degree in business from the Community College of Vermont in 2021 and currently serve on my local Planning Commission. I like to spend time with my family at our pond and go for Jeep rides with my husband and dog Oliver. I have participated in Dartmouth Hitchcock's CHaD Hero fundraiser and 5k over the years and supported our National Guard troops over several deployments. I love where I live and am excited to continue to serve buyers and sellers here in our beautiful Upper Valley region!
