Stefan Karnopp

He was fortunate to be born in the beautiful Mount Washington Valley. His grandparents, Carroll and Kay Reed, were busy building many business adventures here, the most notable being the Carroll Reed Ski Shops. He continued the tradition of working in Ski shops along with coaching the Mt. Cranmore Alpine Race Team when he was younger, enjoying the lifestyle and skiing as much as possible. From there he worked in another family business, The Conway Scenic Railroad. As a partial owner and Board Member, it was a very rewarding career until they sold in 1999.

In 1996, his wife and him bought their home in Kearsarge (North Conway) a wonderful location on Kearsarge brook. Raising their son in this small town has been awesome for sure. From skiing with the ESSC program in elementary school, the Alpine Ski Team in middle/high school, and the KHS Mt Bike team, he has had a great education and been able to mix in the great outdoors. Like his dad he is always looking for the next big snowstorm or looking to ride the NOCO Hurricane zone Mt bike trails in the summer months.

Staying connected to the community is very important, He enjoys volunteering and working on local boards to help keep the small town feel a reality. He is active in the Easter Slope Ski Club, Mount Washington Valley old car club, the Red Parka Challenge Cup board, and have been a zoning board member for the Kearsarge Lighting Precinct for 14 years. A while back he was awarded the “Five Star Real Estate Award” by New Hampshire Magazine. Five agents in the Valley were chosen for their exceptional service and customer satisfaction, he was honored to be one of them.
