While it sounds schmaltzy, Steve was our proverbial port in the storm. Being from out of state and diving into a market that will be forever known in our minds as "completely out of control", we benefited from Steve guiding us in learning Richmond’s neighborhoods, the unfamiliar real estate processes of Virginia, and other steps we’d need to navigate the seller’s market in order to succeed when there were competitive offers. We also appreciated his willingness to look at houses objectively and help us see both the good and the bad without pressuring or persuading us that that was the right one, or even, good enough.

His patience seemed unwavering as we spent several months driving from house to house, and finally, on our third try, we succeeded in a good offer, below asking price. Who does that?! We encourage anyone looking for a realtor with knowledge, professionalism and a sense of humor to hire Steve to guide them through this crazy world of real estate and come out the other side with a home and a smile.

From the moment we met Steve we knew he was our guy. Excellent communications, timely response to any questions, and full of suggestions. When we met Steve we were fixing our home from bad renters and saw past the repairs and gave us hope. The cloud we had hanging over us lifted right away from the moment we met him. WE would recommend him to anyone. He is easy to work with and gives excellent suggestions and ideas. His excellent staging of home and wonderful photos taken helped us sell the home in a few days. Steve went above and beyond with the purchase of a new home and sale of our previous home. We were not in the market, but saw the home come up and he was able to present a very enticing offer that the seller accepted, plus helped us get our home ready by hiring a staging consultant and taking phenomenal photos. The photoshoot of our home was stress free and very easy, as the photographer became like a part of our own family and we felt so comfortable. Steve did great market research and priced our home right where we felt comfortable and sold above ask! When our moving day came around and things were going crazy- Steve was there to help and guide us through it all. Overall, I cannot say enough good about our sale and purchase using Steve and River Fox. 10/10 would use again and have recommended him multiple times since.

Steve is an absolutely fantastic real estate agent who helped my fiance and find and purchase our perfect first home (our offer beat out more than twenty competing bids to provide a picture of how much Steve's expertise helped us). Throughout the process Steve was incredibly personable, fun, and candid with all of our interactions and viewings; to say he put us at ease and helped us through the process is an understatement. My fiance and I started out with almost zero knowledge of the real estate market, wild expectations of what buying a house was like, and a sense of timidity when it came to purchasing a home. Steve quickly helped us gain a confidence and knowledge of what we were doing, educated us on what we ought to be looking at when viewing a house, and provided remarkable ideas on how to quickly improve almost any home we looked at. Steve really is an expert not only on the local market, but also on what makes a house turn into a home and a comfortable place to live. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about Steve, was his ability to make us feel as if we were his only clients whenever he was with us; not once did we feel rushed or unimportant in any way. I know many realtor's can give off the impression that their clients are simply paychecks, but Steve treats you like a friend and someone he genuinely wants to see achieve their dream. He is both a fantastic real estate agent, and an incredible person. I would recommend to Steve to anyone looking to either buy or sell a home, because he made something as stressful as buying a house become something a truly special part of our lives.

After doing some research on local Realtors, Steve clearly became the logical choice. Being local and actually having grown up in the area we ended up buying, made our decision a no brainer. Our problem was being all the way in New Orleans. We had a great conversation with all of our pros/cons and those were all respected. Steve Davis is an all-around awesome human. Relatedly, he is an awesome real estate agent. Steve sold our house at the price we wanted within DAYS of listing. He was extremely responsive to our questions and provided excellent advice and counsel. And did I mention that he did all of this in the midst of a global pandemic? Because he did all of this in the midst of a global pandemic. We are renting now, but will be buying a home in the next year or so. When that time comes, we will definitely ask Steve to be our realtor again.
