During that time, he obtained his NYS Real Estate Salesperson License, and later his Broker License, primarily to assist Jacqlene, who had already established a stellar reputation in the real estate field. In 1998, he retired from the State Police and, together with his wife, founded Rose Realty. Over 12 years, Rose Realty gained recognition as a highly reputable and successful real estate company before merging with a larger local firm.

Steven is an active member of various organizations, including the Elks Lodge 2175, where he has served as a Past Trustee, Sons of the American Legion, The Association of Former New York State Troopers, NYS Magistrate's Association, and Habitat for Humanity International, where he serves as a Global Village Team Leader.
