My brother and I met with 4 other brokers before we met Jim Shaw. We had an initial meeting on a Monday and Jim came back on Wednesday with his game plan. We liked his approach and signed up with him on that day. On Thursday Jim Shaw called us and said, "that he wanted to show our house "as is, no staging" on Friday to a broker and her client. On Saturday we had an initial offer, but Jim thought we could do better and over the course of a Saturday afternoon in December we received an offer $150,000 over asking and the buyer agreed to our requirement to close in 90 days. Over the next 90 days Jim Shaw advised us on several nuances known more important than scheduling a Smoke Detectors Inspection by the Boston Fire Department. Jim Shaw then went above and beyond and schedule that appointment. While waiting for that Inspection, Jim advised us that we needed several new Smoke Detectors. Jim even picked them up for us!!

Jim Shaw insured that we were ready for the buyers inspection, so we could close on schedule.

Jim and I very highly recommend Jim Shaw, if you're looking for a Real Estate broker to get you; your best price!!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Jim Shaw recently and I cannot recommend him enough if you're a first time homebuyer. My fiance and I were total newbies to the home buying process and basically had no idea what we were doing. Jim was immensely helpful to us to the point where it's basically thanks to him that we are living in a home that we are blissfully happy with. He helped us every step of the way, found us a condo that fit all of the criteria we were looking for, answered all of our millions of questions, connected us with a mortgage company, and a lawyer. We never would have been able to find all of these people on our own with the speed and efficiency that Jim did. Everyone he recommended to us also treated us extremely well. In addition to his professional helpfulness, he's also just a super nice guy, really accessible, and really easy to talk to. He went above and beyond to help us at every turn. We are seriously pinching ourselves because we can't believe we got lucky enough to work with him when so many young people looking to buy a house have such a difficult time these days. We love you Jim!!

Can’t say enough good things about Jim Shaw. As a first time homebuyer in this crazy competitive market, Jim was an amazing asset in finding us our dream home. Jim is extremely savvy with both the market and the area we were looking in, and set up numerous open houses with us until we found the right one. When it came to putting in an offer, Jim went above and beyond to ensure ours was competitive and ultimately successful. Jim was patient, extremely responsive to our questions and concerns, and walked us through this process until the end. I would recommend Jim to anyone looking to buy a home.
