A native of St. Louis, she has lived in Ladue and Clayton most of her life. She grew up going to the Baskin-Robbins across the street from the McAfee office in Ladue. Susan knows the community and its people well. She attended Ladue Horton Watkins High School and Vanderbilt University, where she graduated cum laude. She and her husband live in Ladue and have three grown sons.
