About Susan

When Susan began selling real estate in 1979, she could not have predicted where her journey would take her. She was in real estate for 60 days before the whole market crashed, interest rates soared to 15 1/2%, and unemployment rose sharply to 24%. Getting started during a recession was challenging, but it helped Susan build the skills needed to thrive in the real estate business. She decided that no matter what, she was not going to give up. She was going to work tirelessly and reinvent herself until she figured out how to survive that market. That is exactly what she did. From that experience, she realized that whatever life throws at her, she has the ability to figure it out and make it work. That determination and can-do attitude have helped her grow her business over the past 40 years, allowing her clients to achieve their real estate goals no matter what obstacles lie in their way.

As Broker/Owner of Success Realty West Michigan, Susan has 38 agents working with her serving the West Michigan area. A recent move to new office space gives Success Realty West Michigan the opportunity to grow and serve more agents and clients in the future. With this new office environment, the company is recommitting to upholding the Triple Bottom Line as a core value, keeping business focused on good for people, the planet, and profit. Susan’s sense of humor usually puts her clients at ease. After 40-plus years in this industry she has collected a wealth of obscure knowledge that comes in handy occasionally. During almost every transaction, there are these little gems that come up out of nowhere. Usually, these are things nobody else would ever think of or even know about that really add value to her clients. My goal is to bring pertinent information to the sale or purchase that add value to the transaction for my clients and create a life relationship as a trusted advisor.
