Susan Thornton

Susan Thornton is a full-time REALTOR® representing buyers and sellers. After a twenty-five-year career with Child Protective Services serving children and families in the great state of Texas, she transitioned into real estate. She has a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. The skills and experience from her career in social work have been invaluable in life and have proved to be the same in her real estate career as well. She has a passion for helping people and she loves that the real estate business allows her to be of service. She is a good listener, patient, has a strong work ethic, and works diligently for her clients.

She is a native Texan and was a long-time resident of Fort Worth’s TCU area until she and her husband decided to move to the “country” and headed west to Aledo. She is married to Joe, a retired Fort Worth police sergeant. They are active in their church, St. John Lutheran, in Mansfield, where Susan has served in various capacities including many years of volunteering with high school youth.

Susan is very devoted to friends and family, which includes her dogs. She can often be seen at one of her niece’s volleyball games, gardening, enjoying her grandchildren, or out exercising the dogs. She loves decorating, gardening and landscaping. She is a Tarrant County Master Gardener and a volunteer for the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens.

Susan has received a Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) Designation. She was named a Top Realtor in 2018 by Fort Worth Magazine and she was named a 2019, 2020 and 2021 Top Realtor in 360 West Magazine. She has also been honored by Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty as a Top Producer each years since 2018. She is a member of the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors, The Texas Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
