About Susan

After living for many years in both the rural countryside and urban centers in the US and Europe, she decided to move to northern New England to raise her family. She is a fifth generation Vermonter so could not resist the opportunity to return to Vermont. She chose the Upper Valley for its casual lifestyle, easy access to high quality education, cultural opportunities and outdoor pursuits and pristine natural areas. This is a wonderful place to call home.

Her deep knowledge and connection to the land, towns, and neighborhoods allows her to provide her clients with unique insights into real estate opportunities and life in the Upper Valley. She relocated to Vermont from NYC and understand the complexities of moving to the Upper Valley from more urban environments. She loves living in this part of the world but also understand life in other places so she can relate to clients moving to this area from cities, towns and countries that are different from the semi-rural life here in Vermont and New Hampshire.

She finds it immensely rewarding to help her clients with their real estate transactions - facilitating the purchase of the right home; negotiating the best price for the sale of their home and ensuring that these transactions are as seamless as possible. She takes her job seriously. She uses tools gleaned from her education and prior work experience and fully embrace the analytical tools, marketing programs and support that both Sotheby's International Realty and Four Seasons Sotheby's International Realty brand provide.

Prior to joining Four Seasons Sotheby's International Realty, she spent several years in academic research and as an environmental consultant and later owned a successful catering/food business. She attended the University of Vermont, received a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University, a Ph.D. in environmental science from Lancaster University, England and completed her postdoc at Dartmouth College in 2007. She also received a Certificate in baking and pastry arts from New England Culinary Institute.

Currently, she serves on the advisory board for The Friends of Hanover and Norwich Schools and most recently the Vermont advisory board for The Trust for Public Land and am a volunteer ski guide for Ski for Light. Norwich, Vermont is where she lives with my family, Tiger the cat, and a flock of chickens. She loves the outdoors and find time to run, ski, play tennis, hike and cycle and grow as many flowers and vegetables as she can.
